ABOUT ME

basak saner

The moment I read The Mist, Stephen King’s book at the age of twelve, I knew what kind of books I liked. I’d been reading books my parents thought “age appropriate” until then but none of them brought out the love in me for reading. That day changed my life. I’ve lived in Türkiye all my life, apart from the time I studied Radio, TV, and Film in the United States. I worked in production till I became pregnant. With my son, I chose to be a stay-at-home mom but you can’t go against fate. Having a production background; working with editors and screenwriters, and reading constantly, one day I told myself “I can do this,” which led to my first book.

I have three published books in Türkiye, all of them fantasy, romance-fiction YA books. Coming back to the States five years ago, I knew writing in English was inevitable. Because once you start writing, you cannot stop. Feeling disconnected from Türkiye and connecting with America; I started writing.

about Book

fated

As I was running for my Chem class, like I was running for my life, I saw her again. The girl from the party. She was standing in the middle of the hall; oblivious to everyone around her. Blond straight hair, bangs, blue eyes, and she was tall… Almost as tall as me, and I am tall. I knew she was in my school! She looked lost, trying to decide which way to go. I couldn’t help but smile; she needed my help once again.

A mute girl, coming to a public high school her senior year, meets a boy who falls in love with her instantly. Their relationship is like any other high school crush; they’re head over heels for each other. But is it enough? Especially when one of her mute friends is also in love with her. Or when the boy has a past in the same school.

Are they fated to be with each other when destiny throws challenges their way?
